Background
Hawkhill operates a premium resort business where accommodation is only one part of the total offering. In addition to individual leisure guests, the resort serves travel agents and a significant number of corporate customers booking overnight meetings, away days, dining, sauna experiences and activities.
That kind of business creates major revenue opportunities, but only if everything can be managed together.


The Challenge
Before Moder, Hawkhill used Excel, calendars and a legacy PMS.
It was difficult to know what was happening and when. Information had to be updated manually in multiple places, and gathering the full picture took a lot of time. The lack of one real-time system also limited what Hawkhill could actually sell.
Activities and restaurant services were mainly possible only for larger corporate groups. Selling them to individual guests was operationally too difficult, because staffing and availability could not be coordinated easily enough. That meant missed upsell opportunities and less flexibility in how the resort could serve guests.
The Solution
Moder gave Hawkhill one live system for the whole resort.
Individual bookings now flow primarily through Hawkhill’s own website, with very little reliance on OTAs. Travel agent business is managed efficiently through allotment blocks with automatic releases, making it easy to handle reserved inventory without unnecessary manual work or lost availability.
Corporate bookings, which make up half of Hawkhill’s revenue, are managed from preliminary booking all the way to operations and invoicing. This is especially important because most corporate sales include overnight stays together with meetings, dining, sauna and activities.
Moder also made it possible for Hawkhill to upsell activities, rentals, lunch and dinner services to individual guests during peak seasons. Because availability, inventory and operations are managed in real time, the team can offer more premium services without making daily work heavier.
All 10 staff members work from the same transparent system, including mobile use across front desk, restaurant and activity operations.
